I think, At some point,
Everyone dreams of finding..
An Edward.
Someone whose name you call, or whisper.
And he’s right there waiting.
Someone who hums a lullaby,
And holds you close, as you drift off.
Someone who seems to just glitter, in the Sunlight,
Whose eyes are often Topaz,
Warm,
And Reassuring.
Someone who takes you to dinner,
And ignores the pretty waitress.
Someone who follows you,
Watches you always,
Secretly, Just to be sure..
You’re always okay.
Someone Romantic,
Yet has a good sense of humor.
Someone Ancient, Yet Young.
Who’ll save your life, No matter what.
Who cries when you’re injured.
Someone who cleans out even the deadliest wounds,
However impossibly hard it may be.
Someone to take you to your prom,
Dispite your complaints,
Who teaches you to waltz,
As you stand on his feet.
Someone who just knows when it’s time.
When forever really means forever.
And takes you away,
For years to come

Whee! I got the ‘Kumon’ job. At least I THINK I got it, but since the caller said she’ll tell me the timings for the other days tomorrow, it means I got in right? =)) Haha! It may not exactly be THAT dream job I’ve been eying all this while – the admin job at a particular law firm, but hey, I can’t exactly be choosy can I? I guess I’m excited, it being a first job and all, other than the 2 tuition jobs. Went for the ‘interview’ on Mon, and I had to do an English test! Math too actually, but I had to leave early so I guess I’ll be doing that tomorrow. Ahh.. I’m already nervous =/ but I really hope all goes smoothly from here =))

Slumdog Millionaire is a great movie! I give it 2 thumbs up =) Somehow the above picture just reminds me of the show – life as we know it now, here in Singapore where everything we see and know is green and always there and on the other hand, on the other side of the world, the life as we never get to know, fortunately. It may seem a bit confusing at first, with the flashbacks, but after a while, you soon see the whole picture, and how each scene flows seamlessly into the other. I never knew life in the way it was portrayed, and it made me feel that I have much to be thankful for being in this part of the world - The poor living conditions, though it was the past, were horrific to the senses. I like the story line, its touching. Haha. The dancing at the end was cute too! Lol The NTU talks were informative. As I spent the day with friends, talking about the different faculties, I realized that I DO have to make decisions SOON. All this while, ever since I stepped into JC, I had always set my mind on law. But, today made me rethink twice. For the first time, NIE is damn appealing. And as usual, so is English Literature. Haha! I didn’t realize psychology is so popular, and that sociology seems to be interesting. AHHH! IM CONFUSED =( I was just searching online for any reviews about my new phone, and I came across this site that tells the retail price. AND, I discovered that the retail price is like S$458, as stated on http://spider88.com/ProductList.aspx?brand=34&model=0&price=0&fid=0Hahaha. Which makes me feel good cause I got it for wayyy cheaper =)) I love my phone =)))

Cousin told me that tomorrow is free hugs day! So start hugging people!! =))
Anyways;
I have high hopes for this season’s American idol. Truly! I think that majority, if not all, of the top 36 contestants really have talent. Take Adam Lambert and Alex Wagner-Trugman and Danny Gokey for example. The former just reminds me of David Cook though; I think it’s the hair. In addition, its been said that he's been in at least two Broadway productions. Hmm. Oh, plus not forgetting Scott Macintyre. He doesn’t let his disabilities cloud his goals and his talents. I think he’s a great role model! Really. Ohh, and I’m happy that Jasmine Murray got through too! The thing about these contestants is that, they’re really young! Haha. The youngest being 16(duhh) and imagine that when they do win, their lives change drastically and their career kickes off. Like David Archuleta (I just discovered today that he’s actually 18.. took me long enough -.-) I think I like Alex. He’s cute! Hahahahaha =))

And so, the long awaited, hush-hush event for this month is over - the BBQ! Finally we can blog about the days coming up to this event which we were unable to post for fear of the people-who-had-no-inkling-of-what-we-were-planning, suspecting something. Haha! The day before, me, shiks and nurul headed off to mad’s house to bake brownies! The second time actually, the previous time was the week prior to that, where we managed to make tiramisu =)) and brownies too. It was nice being able to hang around, for the two people have been too busy teaching. Haha. Couldn’t meet up with them yesterday morning, since I had to attend madrasah. But from what I later learnt, they took a cab down to changi and were then blindfolded. Lol. Reminds me of the time we made Maddy cover her eyes on the day of her bday celebration, and we dragged her to Sakura. Was like complaining inwardly about how far I would have to travel ALONE and most probably reach there at around 8, when dad suddenly said that he would send me all the way there. =)) finally reached there near 7 and met up with the rest. I haven’t seen most of them in ages! Especially the birthday girls farah and mala! And nisha too ! Hahahaha. It was fun to finally sit down and talk with them. Plus, there were numerous planes that flew overhead – if only we could get like $10 for each plane that we saw, we would be rich! A few of us went to walk on the sandy beach soon after. I love the sand! =)) So much nicer and finer than the ones in sembawang beach. Walking barefooted, I was sorely tempted to run near the lapping waves and make a sandcastle like I would when I was smaller. Haha. We sat down and tried taking numerous pictures, in the dark. Pitch black (k fine, not THAT dark), it was hard trying to take a picture when u cant even see the subjects, and imagine the bright flash that momentarily blinds u when the picture is taken. We kept on laughing, especially when we discovered that the so-called fishes that we though the men had caught, was actually seaweed! Hahahaha. We were laughing like mad, cause we were like so confident they were fishes. I was like, "ehh there I think got 2 fish uh. See like got 2 tails." Hahahha. The guy was like laughing at us too, saying that if it were fishes, it would be moving and not still like seaweeds. -.- Headed off soon after, after numerous attempts taken trying to take group pictures. It was a long journey walking to the bus stop. At least we didn’t walk all the way to carpark 1, unlike someone *winks* . hahaha. Was walking with mala, and we counted that the distance was roughly 1.6km. that’s the distance of the napha in primary school!
Shall wait for the rests to upload pictures...
NTU admission talks this coming Saturday, which means we’ll be meeting up again! =)) And this is like the 301th post XD

wheee went back to school, which was a rather impromptu decision actually. woke up at 8 and got a message that guodong, shermaine, and eugene were in school. and, i decided to go join them =)) reached around 10, and met up with them plus wenbin!! hahahha. so happy, cause havent seen them in ages. plus, it IS orientation. lol. the groups were having couple dance. and we joined them!! hahahahha. plus, it was soon bro's group to be having the couple dance. saw him! dancing with this girl from his school. hahaha. and he was the one being called up on stage, cause each ogl had to bring up a couple form each group. was laughing at him and they took pictures =) we, as seniors, also got to dance on stage =)) i miss orientation. anyways, the highlight was being able to see some dear friends =)) apparently there is this website, etsy, which sells cool homemade stuffs. i came across this 'shop' which sells vintage books! and by vintage, i really mean vintage. there is 'Antony and cleopatra', 'Macbeth' and 'Hamlet' which are detailed to be copyrighted 1909,1898 and 1930 respectively! like how cool is that?? aside from books there are tons of other stuffs, ranging from bookmarks, pendants, wallets, and even furniture(??). gosh, people really are creative !

A Dandelion's Song By Jennifer K. Keane Walking along the path, I spot
puffy white orb- A Dandelion a weed Infinitely more beautiful than its grassy fellow sendless, identical To Me I feel akin to this fluffy oddball I am drawnchildlike I grasp the delicate stem, Bringing it near to my lips Make a Wish a prayer. I wish for peace, in the world in my heart I wish for love, true love I wish for direction, hope I blow with all my breath wish with all my being- Disperse miniature white parachutes. In my mind- I Too Detach in a million different directions, I Am the hopes the dreams the prayers the wishes of a world a generation; my peers my family Myself- I Am Blown. Carried by a passing breeze soft, gentle then- Grabbed by a far more violent gust I fall tumble rise twist Change directions. I have traveled far- have far yet to travel not sure how far I Am Not Lost- just searching for a purposea reason an answer a place to land to stay- To Take Root.
