I think, At some point,
Everyone dreams of finding..
An Edward.
Someone whose name you call, or whisper.
And he’s right there waiting.
Someone who hums a lullaby,
And holds you close, as you drift off.
Someone who seems to just glitter, in the Sunlight,
Whose eyes are often Topaz,
Warm,
And Reassuring.
Someone who takes you to dinner,
And ignores the pretty waitress.
Someone who follows you,
Watches you always,
Secretly, Just to be sure..
You’re always okay.
Someone Romantic,
Yet has a good sense of humor.
Someone Ancient, Yet Young.
Who’ll save your life, No matter what.
Who cries when you’re injured.
Someone who cleans out even the deadliest wounds,
However impossibly hard it may be.
Someone to take you to your prom,
Dispite your complaints,
Who teaches you to waltz,
As you stand on his feet.
Someone who just knows when it’s time.
When forever really means forever.
And takes you away,
For years to come

The Books warehouse sale is on at the JCS building in AMK, from now till 29 march. I think it was supposed to end earlier but the date was pushed back. At first when the car drove into the compound, i was abit apprehensive. What if it were Chinese books, or really really old books stored in warehouses all this while; mum even said that it was just children books or those boring books about living. I was pleasantly surprised when we got to the second floor. =)) took some time looking at the books. Hehe. Was ecstatic cause the books were going at reasonable prices, within the range of $4 up. Some were even going at the price of $10 for 4 books. So yeah, was happy. If this doesn’t make me sound like a bookworm, I don’t know what will. So i had like 3 books in the basket, together with 3 magazines, and was walking around at the teenage section, when this person passing by called my name. I was like, oh shit, déjà vu, cause i totally didn’t recognise the person in front of me though he apparently knew me! So i was going like, ohhh yeah hiii, but apparently i didn’t even place the person’s face. My apprehension must have shown clearly on my face, cause he then went err azhar lahh. Okeeyyy, that managed to strike a bell as i stared into the face of my secondary school classmate. Sheesh, a couple of my brain cells must have died since the A lvls cause i really couldn’t remember him before he so nicely reminded me. There was this awkward silence as i racked my brains as to what to say next. I apologised for not being able to remember him, putting the blame on he fact that he looked different. Haha! He laughed, and told me that he was working there, answering my obvious question. After the short exchange, i headed off to search for m parents, and told them that i just saw a classmate, and my mum just went like, “ohhh that guy in yellow right? Cause he looked so familiar”. Errr, i was like shocked when i heard what she said cause she could remember but i couldn’t? Gosh. My memory seems to be bad. Haha. Anyway, i think it was great there – spent like 25 on all my stuffs, and at least there’s new materials to be read while awaiting the arrival of the fifth instalment of the house of night series. It’s irritating to discover that it was released overseas on the 7th but till now, there is no sign of it in Singapore, and i’ve practically search most bookstores -.-

D: hello, may i speak to Diyanah please Me: yeah, Diyanah speaking... D: Ahh, diyanah ahh, today no tuition issit? Me: Err, no. Cause that day the father said holiday no tuition D: Ah? How come ah? Me: Nono, cause that day the father said they going on short holiday. So no tuition * feeling utter confused at the ongoing question, and still feeling adamant that nothing was wrong* D: oh ok. Cause you know why, the father called, and he asked holidays got no tuition? He sounded like he was outside... Me:*cuts in* but he was the one who told me they went on holiday. So i resume on mon... D: so confirm, on Monday? K, i will tell the father ....... By the end of the convo, there was this dreaded sinking feeling in my gut. Went back to stare at the laptop screen, feeling nervous like something was wrong. On impulse, checked my phone which was on silent mode. SHIT! Two missed calls, one from the dad! Was wondering if i had the wrong information. Searched through past messages, and found the one i was looking for. TADAA! “Sorry last minute. No tuition today cause bringing the kids on short holiday” Damn! WRONG INFORMATION. I had MISUNDERSTOOD! Shit. Apparently, i misread the whole message and came to the conclusion that there was to be no tuition this holiday week. Alas, i was mistaken, for there WAS suppose to be tuition TODAY. I had overlooked the message and mixed up with my other kid, who is not suppose to have tuition this week. Hastily sent out a message to the dad, apologising three times, and explaining that i had misread the message. Added in that i would come for make-up lessons if necessary. By the end of the message, and it was sent *which took up 2 pages*, my heart was literally in my mouth. I felt so guilty! For missing out on a lesson! The dad soon replied with “ nah, its ok.”, but still, im feeling utterly guilty =(

Went for the NUS open house today. We reached with a few minutes to spare before the talk by the office of admissions. They were giving out the bags outside the school, and there was this guy holding on to loads of blue and orange balloons. And so, me and mala asked for one blue balloon each, while the others just laughed at us. Haha. Got the balloon tied to the bag, and we settled down to the talk, expecting it to be interesting. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enticing at all. Luckily it was over and we had like 15 mins to spare before the next talk. Initially wanted to just go for the FASS talk with the rest – had planned to forgo the law talk cause I wasn’t even sure if I could even stand a chance to get into that dream course. The others were like saying its better to go for the law talk, and find out more, and that I still had a chance given the GP grade. In the end, I went to attend that talk with ruzaini, and I’m happy I went. Haha. First and foremost, the speaker was interesting. Plus, I got to know more about the course – No, becoming a laywer is not the ONLY career prospect. Im positive I paid more attention to the speaker than I have done to some lectures in school *opps*But seriously, that talk just made me even more determined and hopeful to get into the course. Joined the others at the exhibition hall after that. They were asking questions at the FASS section, so I was like trying to listen in and get some information from the explanation given by the students, who were like in their third year, and some professors. Its rather interesting, I have to admit. Malay studies, for example, is actually taught in English, and not in Malay as I had initially thought. Haha. Accompanied shiks to question about geog, then we went to ask about English lit. Finally, went to ask about sociology before walking around to the other booths. Me and mala went around trying to grab the freebies XD – we ended up with two pens, the cool highlighter, and the world-squeezeball or whateveritscalled. Managed to ask some questions at the law booth, though i wasn’t even aware that the first person I approached was a teacher! And I was like asking her about student life -.-I was so embarrassed! In the end, we approached this nice year one student and the first thing she said was – don’t take law unless you really have the passion for it. Truth to be told, that question kind of made me stop to think for awhile, but I knew that I really want it, so I just carried on with the questions. At the end of the day, as we stepped out of the school, my mind was in a mess. I knew what I really want but what makes me hesitate is whether I am really ready for the inevitable hurdles. I was also afraid my hopes being dashed. But, right now I feel rather calm after after thinking things through and talking to Jie ying online. I guess, no, I KNOW that I will do just well in no matter what course I’m in as long as I have the passion for it, and I’m willing to put in the hard work that is required of me. =))

I meant to post sooner, but just didn’t feel like in the mood to type so much. Lol Friday; The day of the results. The day before, I couldn’t really sleep, kept awake various recollections of YJ. As a result, was feeling rather droopy when I had to wake up relatively early than usual for work. And nope, it did not quench my nervous pangs while marking cause my mind kept straying to the coming event. Was planning to leave at 1, BUT was delayed -.- Well, whatever the case, we didn’t reach school on time either. Reached around 2.45 when the top students were announced. It wasn’t long after that when it was announced that we could go see our CTs. My heart stopped for a moment. Went in search for the class, and we had to queue -.- not to get our results just yet, but to check our testimonials or something. Finally, when it came to my turn, I looked up at my CT, hoping his expression would give somesort of clue. He smiled, and said that I did rather well. Phew, that gave me abit of confidence to look down. The E caught my eye first, being the most unexpected grade for the subject I was confident in. It took awhile before my mind could register the As for both lit papers, and the B for math. I passed my math! Was so happy with that piece of information. My eyes then zoomed to the top of the page, the GP marks. Was grinning maniacally when I saw the grade, I met my target! Went with Shiks to thank the GP tutor. Was nearly close to tearing up when I thanked and showed her my grades - though her lessons may be tough at times, at least it all paid off and I got that A =)) Math tutor was next, and seriously, I really appreciate her not giving up on my class for the two years we were under her. All the times spent coming back for consultations during the study break really did paid off. All in all, I felt super happy that I could make my parents proud of me again, especially after having disappointed them and more of myself during the O lvls. I guess, that’s what matters the most, making my parents proud =)) The rest of the day zoomed past – headed off to SSDC alone for the TTT practice, then at home was bombarded through the phone and msn about results. Its kindda funny how results can bring even the most unlikely of people to come together. Sat; Farewell dinner with the peeps. Plus somewhat of a celebratory outing? Haha. It was fun being able to hang with them without any major worries(namely the As) but we did discuss the different courses in the universities. At the end of the day, I realized that sometimes, the people around us do understand and know us better than we may even know ourselves or care to admit. Somehow, the shadow of the past appears to have caught up and be involved with the occurrings’ of the day.. Suddenly, its like being 2/3 years back =))

Its confirmed, results are coming out this coming Friday. Which is in 2 freaking days! Gahhhh. I KNOW I KNOW, people keep commenting that there is nothing to be spooked about. After all, all has passed, and all we can do for the remaining time is to sit and wait to see how we fared after months of slogging. It’s not as though anything we do now can change what is already written on paper. Yes, I AM aware of all these. And yet, I just cant help feeling super nervous about the future that awaits me. I can’t help it but chills are running up and down my spine as I even think of it. On the bright side, will be working that morning, so MAYBE it will help ease my mind of the results. Or perhaps on the downturn, do just the opposite which will then cause me to be making loads of mistakes in the marking, and in return, will earn me some deep sighing and shakes of head from those double checking my work. -. - Well, I’m hoping it’ll be the former..
